Troubadours and Minstrels

Gala Dinner & Entertainment.
The Ball will be located on the piano Nobile in an authentic 14th century Palace: Pesaro Papafava.
With its precious gothic facade and its elegant quadriform gothic windows overlooking the canal of the Misericordia. The palace will be illuminated entirely with candlelights to create a memorable atmosphere.
The Renaissance Ball is to relive the atmosphere of dances during the Renaissance period.
Ball will feature music and dances of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, presented by dancers in period costume and music performers of the time between troubadours and minstrels.
Minstrel was a servant (first employed in castles) and considered court musician. They created their own ballads and famous poems. A troubadour was originally a travelling musician with themes of the songs dealt with chivalry and courtly love but they also introduce stories and legends from different country.
21.15: Elegant cocktail with live music.
21.45: Seated illuminated candle lights Gala Dinner, wines included.
23.00: Spectacle of Renaissance music and dances.
Midnight: Live music and dances.
Dress Code: costume and mask.

The Palace is reachable by 5 minutes walk from Ca D’Oro vaporetto stop: Calle Racchetta, Cannaregio 3764. Reachable also by its water door (in front of the Church of the Misericordia).
